Drilling vessel PATRA OFFSHORE, deployed in wind farming off Changhua, Taiwan, south of Taichung, Taiwan Strait, created a heavy portside list in the afternoon of August 22, probably after drilling rod was stuck in the bottom.
Water entry was reported, fearing shooting and sinking, 40 individuals left the vessel on board and were saved by Taiwanese CG and SAR, no injuries recorded.
PATRA OFFSHORE’s situation and status stay unknown as of 1600 UTC Aug 22.
