Ans: Indication of scavenge fire:

• High exhaust temperature of corresponding unit.

• High local temperature in scavenge trunk.

• Black smoke in exhaust gas.

• Burning smell

• Surging of T/C.

• Flame, spark or smoke emitted from the scavenge drains.

• Loss in power, irregular and fluctuating rpm of engine.
